Enough about that on to the question. The current white dwarf had a caption about the easterling blade master with two spearmen behind him and said he had 3 base attacks and 2 more for being supported by the 2 spearmen. Now was this a typo, them not knowing how to play their own game, or was the rules changed regarding spearmen that only one can support a like size base unless you have a pike?

and Amdur the blademaster is a relatively new easterling hero

Wow another change. Is there an errata out or something with an update one the rules? I thought easterling spears were treated as elven weapons.

You're thinking of the Easterling halberd, which only a captain can have. It counts as an Elven Blade.

Easterlings have the "Phalanx" rule, which allows them to use spears as pikes. This is in the Shadow in the East sourcebook.

Ok cool I was wondering about that thanks for the info. Wow that new captain is pretty nasty then with the 3 base attacks and backed up by two more for 5 attacks.

Yeah but almost every hero is strong with pike support if you give the new golden king pike support he haves 6attacks and may rerol one cause he is a banner
