Okay. Both auctions have sold. I ordered The White Council, Glorifindel ft. and mtd, Gandalf the White ft. and mtd., warg riders x1 and a 40k ruin. You can see Cirdan from the White council in the December paint-off thread, and here's Glorifindel from The White Council, finished except for some touch-up work on his cloak. :)

"Glorifindel" looks pretty good. I agree though that the cloak needs a bit of work but nice colours overall! 8)

It is really amazing how fast you improve. :o
epescially the hair and his chainmail are great.
it could be just the sunlight but am i corret that the chainmail looks a bit purpleish if so would you mind sharing the colourscheme and techniques.
but could you try to rotate the pictures on the computer.
You can even do this with paint (image, rotate, 90/270 degrees).
and asheet of white paper behind the mini usually make the picture a lot better.

The chainmail does have a blueish tint. I mixed Ultramarines blue/Regal Blue 50/50, watered it down to inkish consistency and applied.

I'll try what you suggested on paint as well.

Especially under both arms, but mainly his non-sword arm, right? I just noticed how bad it looked there

Thanks for the comments guys!

Yeah and the small bit between his legs.
It shouldn't take too much to sort it out and when it's done it'll be a very good piece of work indeed! 8)

Great work on the metallics. I really like the gold. It is interesting to see how you tried to paint the shadows onto the cloak, I wonder how it will turn out in the end.

By the way, great work on Cirdan. I love you colour choice, I've got to try it myself.

Thanks DLOEL. :)

Whoops. Didn't mean to misspell it Elessar

Last night, I pushed myself to the brink. Immediately after school, I went out to my hobby building, picked up my brush and worked straight till 10:45 PM. And I finished The White Council.

Here it is, up for sale http://cgi.ebay.com/GW-LOTR-The-White-C ... 2a037077da

Yes, I know I overcharged. But with the Christmas crowd, it'll probably sell anyways. 8)

Great work, Anduril. I'd love to see some more pictures if you have them, especially of Cirdan and Thranduil. :)

Thanks Josh :)

If you can PM me with specific angles/distances you would like shots from, I'll try and PM you tomorrow with some more pics.

I think I might need to PM one of the admins to see what's up with my double posts too. That's like the fourth time in the past couple of days I've double-posted by accident.  don't know what's up with that. :?

Well, if you have a slow internet connection it may take a while for the page to load, and if you hit the button twice getting impatient then it may cause you to double post. Also, just check every post you make to see if you double posted by accident. If you look quick enough, you should be able to delete it. :)

As for pictures, plain old front and back shots would be nice. And, post them up here so everyone can see them!

My internet is normally fast, however this last week it has jumped from fast in the morning/late evening to super-slow the rest of the day.

I didn't know if you wanted a pic from every angle, so that's why I suggested the PM. But if you just want plain old front n' back, sure. I've got Tae Kwon Do today after schoolwork, but I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow morning when the light's good. :)

I took care of the double post, but I couldn't tell you what's causing it.

Well, it's already got a bid....but you don't have to be pro, James. :) I sure ain't. Even back when I was six months into the hobby, I could still do this at a profit. Speed-painting box sets, I could charge 1/2-2/3 again the retail. 8)

You should try it :-D

And thanks for fixing my double post, Erunion. :)

Okay. Seriously, I know it sounds like an excuse, but my camera has officially quit working.

As I've said before, it has a nasty habit of losing power every 1-2 hours of use. This is usually fixed with new batteries. I put new batteries in, and it won't turn on. :x

But, here's some old pics I salvaged from my computer. I think the second pic shows just how bad Cirdan's eyes are(were). I fixed 'em, though.

Congratulations with the $100 bid on the white council. 8)

Good luck with the camera
