A pleasure to read, albeit a nightmare to translate from Portu-Inglish to English

Only joking mate :)

What I love about your miniatures is the Earthen Tones that you always use...I simply love them. The time and care you take to stick to standard principles like ensuring the paint is fully diluted before using, which most of us ignore time and time again, sets you apart from most members here, and the outcome speaks for itself !

Great work Miguel, he looks fantastic !!!

:yay:

Me too! You have achieved a very subtle and natural effect with the colours that you have used. Very stylish and understated. I like it a lot.

You have made a more credible, earthy version of the paintscheme (was it maroon or purple that GW used?) and have reasoned out what sort of colurs could be used. And the painting itself is absolutely top notch. Well illustrated and very clear throughout.

Is Worm coming next?

Yep, Worm comes right after the commercial break!
You can expect it to be up soon, or so I hope.

Despite the duller, more "earthy" tones, this is a wonderfully painted miniature, Mac. The blending on the cloak is amazing!

Every time I read these painting guides I have to remind myself that I’m looking at a miniature of about one inch in height. I’m the proud owner of a blue sprayed Gandalf and that’s as far as my experience with this kind of wizardry reaches. I must admit that, in most cases, I'm not overly impressed by the GW choice of colours for LOTR miniatures as shown in their sourcebooks, supplements and WD’s (my GW library is quite extensive). IMO the contrast between the different colours is often too stark. A miniature with a green jacket and a brown pair of trousers should have a brown shade on his jacket and some green spots on his trousers – a more uniform appearance, that's what I mean (but again, I’m a totally ignoramus to this trade). And that’s exactly why I think that, in comparison with the GW Sharkey, you did a better job, Miguel. I do like the beard – it’s looking more realistic with that “hint of English Uniform” – and also the staff, which shouldn’t be light coloured as in the “Scouring of the Shire” book. As for the layout of your article: let this be a lesson to me…

Not sure if you can get Sharkey individually from GW. He's part of the Scouring of the Shire set.
