Thank you. I'm working on the hood right now. I'm also likely to extend the back a little to make it look more natural. Any other ideas anyone?

It has been a week but I have finally been able to get some more done. At this point I've done most of the sculpting. All that is left is to sculpt the hands. I'm also going to cut away the bottom of the hood and re-sculpt it to make it more realistic, as the hood wouldn't be that wide at the neck. Anything else that needs to be fixed before I move on to painting?

Hang on...The hood is facing the back? Or is the models just leaning back?

I always thought that the model was leaning forward. The bit facing the ground bring the front.

Sorry Samoht, the pictures weren't quite right. When I re-sulpted the bottom of the robe I made it longer and so the wire holding it up wasn't long enough. I've been struggling to get a new piece in and the whole mini ended up too bent backwards. I've fixed that now and finished the sculpting. Unfortunately the hands didn't work out so I used a spare goblin hand and I think I'll just let the other sleeve "cover up" the hand.

I'll start painting it tomorrow so if you see anything that needs to be fixed, speak up.

Very good work.

You may want to add a little more the its left sleeve so it looks more like its other hand is covered.

Got another project in mind?

The left sleeve definitely needs to be extended, but after a several unsuccessful attempts I decided to leave it for now. Went ahead with the painting and I'm almost done. It needs something to finish it up. I might give it a really thin wash just to tone the white down a bit but I'm not sure that's what it needs. Any ideas?

I plan on starting another project soon, I still need something to do in art, but I haven't decided what do to yet. What do you propose samoht?

For another project, you may want to do something more adventurous like a cave troll perhaps. I am sculpting a troll at the moment and its not too hard.
They have bigger bases which you may or may not have. If you don't then I guess you can just sculpt one , make one or just use something else circular.

If that isn't in your interests then maybe try and sculpt a dead marsh spectre or maybe a warrior of the dead.

I am not too sure what to recommend. What types of models do you currently have? Are you collecting a specific army? If so, then maybe theme it around that.

I'll keep thinking of idea's.

The troll sounds good. I'm currently collecting moria and Erebor so that will fit in well. It should be good practice and a real pain for opponent. Could you post some pictures of your troll, either here or in you WIP thread, so I can have a better idea of what I'm embarking upon.

As for the barrow wight, does anyone have any ideas on how to improve the painting or is it good enough already?

Thank you theavenger001. So it's settled, I'm sculpting a troll. I'm hoping to start on Saturday, but first one question. When you are holding a two handed weapon, which hand is on top and which is below?

I think that you would swing it like a club or a baseball bat. That would be right hand on top for right handed people and visa versa for lefties.

I'm probably going to have him in the process of swinging a log around, hence the question about the two hands. I got almost all I need, just need to convince my brother to give me one of his cavalry bases. I hope to start tomorrow, though I may not have the time. I'm also thinking of having him as part of a Diorama, any ideas?

Is it going to be a cave troll? The other trolls have bases bigger than a cavalry base. For a diorama you could have the troll just finishing his swing and have a helpless dwarf flung into the lower branches of a nearby small tree. Like he just got smashed by the troll's tree-club.

Then have a couple of goblins scattered around fighting with arrows in their shields, some arrows on the ground, and maybe some other dead dwarfs or gobbos on the ground.
