As the topic says, is this book worth buying?
I love terrain, and I am only a beginner to terrain making, so building all those cool things in the articles here on O-R is a bit too hard for me, so I thought if this book might be something.
Although, I have a feeling that this might be more aimed at Warhammer terrain... am I right?

And, I didn't really know if this was the right section, so Ringwraiths, feel free to move it.

I have the book and it has a surprisingly large amount of LOTR articles in it (equal to the Warhammer and 40k specific stuff).

Most of the book covers general techniques that are applicable to all systems though. There aren't really a huge amount of clearly worked examples though - the Rohan house is the main LOTR one. Most of the book I would describe as 'inspirational' rather than 'instructional' (I hope that makes sense). They cover a few general techniques in detail and then just show lots of examples of variations on the theme (different types of game board etc).

There are some superb LOTR-specific terrain guides in BGiME magazine which you can still get on ebay. Pretty much every copy after about number 20 has a good guide (before 20 they are all a bit basic).

Hope that helps.

Thanks. 8)

I still might buy it, as I can't use eBay and PayPal and that stuff at the moment...
