I'm sure it will.

Here's some pics, from BrentS' old WIP thread, of a Moria kind of board where he used bark, just so that you can see what it'll look like.

I can see into the future of this board... and it's looking great!
Might I ask what you plan to do in the chasm? An underground river? A goblin highway? :P

It might be a bit late but...

Don't use low density polystyrene. It is a horrible and fragile material to work with.

If you want your board to stand up to the rigours of gaming, high density polystyrene would be a much better choice.

Yes, John, my original plan was to use high density polystyrene, but I wasn't able to find any. I tried a few hardware stores with no luck. Onyx also seems works with the white polystyrene, and his boards appear to hold up fine.

I can see some pick peaking out here to the left of the cave mouth, perhaps to Badab Black to cover it up? Otherwise it looks fantastic.

Not in my power to do, as that's Brent's board.

I'll have more pictures of the second board up later guys. :)

Although, as you obviosley know, polystyrene makes heaps of mess, so you could but a hot wire cutter, or you do what I sometimes do: Heat up a wire over a flame.

It also leaves a nice rock-looking texture where you have cut it.

Well, I would have prefered to use the blue styrofoam, instead of polystyrene, but was unable to find it. The rock formations are very far from being finished, so they will look different in the end. Only the basic structure of those two rock formations is finished.

Yeah, I too was trying to find some high density foam for ages, but failed :(

Looking great, Josh. I'm getting inspired to build my own terrain now.

Thank you all for the comments, they're greatly appreaciated as always. Glad to hear I'm inspiring people to build terrain, as well. :)

I'll try to get another terrain update in soon, I've also done a little painting on an Iron Guard, so I'll post an update with him too.

Thanks again for all the comments guys, they mean a lot.

Sweet job so far, man! Are the boards gna be made for a specific 'arrangement', or will you be able to move them around and creat a different board each time? (Not sure if it makes any sense  )

The board will indeed be modualar, Julian. I'm making 4, 2ft x 2ft boards, which can be aranged into one 4ft x 4ft board.

Nice work Josh. 8)

How many chasms are there going to be? Will there be a whole chasm system or a circular one in the midddle?

Actually the two chasms shown, are all I'll be making. The other two boards will focus more on the rock formations, and will not feature chasms and will also have minimal mine workings as well. I was thinking of making the other two more crowded, to give them a more tunnel-like feel. :)
