John. yeah it doubtably would look amazing with a little horse. But tbh, i shant buy an entire box of other manufacturers minis unless i could truly use them in lotr (somewhat feel at home is what i am aiming for) which is obviously gonna be hard to acheive in a number of cases.

You could try to get a horse in 2mm scale...

Thanks guys 8)

A little update. The cloak is complete ( I am quite pleased with this as I used NO washes AT ALL, just a bit of dark angels green and water in the deep reccesses where the tones weren't at the smoothest), but the severed head, gold and banner is not complete, so don't comment on that, just the cloak please.

Awesome work on the cloak, James. The highlights are very good, you achieved a very smooth finish on the cloak. 8)

Out of curiosity, what colors did you use for highlights on the cloak? I seem to remember you being out of Snot Green, is it a mix of Dark Angles Green and Bleached Bone?

Keep up the good work, James. :)

I just used a mix of blends including dark angels green, catachan green, bronzed flesh & skull white with a dark angels water down into recesses about half way through....

i can't give specific details though. cheers Josh.

Great metallics James! The light-reflection-angle makes it look very realistic!

What have you been eating mate? You're making such a great jump forward on this miniature! Very enjoyable to see you painting like this!

Keep em coming! I'm very entertained here!! 8)

Really good painting James, truly some of your best work. I love the chainmail, it looks spkendid. The gold is also very good as well. Bart's right, you're painting seems to be improving by leaps and bounds on this miniature. :)

Keep up the great work, James. 8)

ok chaps, everything is done here except the banner and base.

NOTE, I noticed the dodgy eye after the 1st pic, and redid it (see the 2nd picture) so please don't draw attention to the 'weird eye on the 1st picture'. thanks.
