Right, but that's not a HERO waterpot Josh. Where can I gets me one of them?

I actually ended up buying a palette and I have to say I don't regret it. The wells are much smaller (though just as deep) than those of any other palette I've seen which is ideal for mixing the small amounts of paint involved in miniature painting, and I find it pretty useful even if it is sorta gimmicky.

Stand by to rant........engage,
Ok, so I can buy a GW 'drybrushing' brush for almost 45 bucks..coz that would be a good investment (knowing what drybrushing does to bristles).

I can by a GW palette, because it's branded so I know that unlike the reject shop 2 dollar palette I have used in the past, the GW one will impart some magical quality to my paint making a Golden Daemon just a bit easier to obtain.

I can now buy a GW pot to hold my water, perhaps when a brush is dipped into it, it is cleansed by a blessed vortex created if I stir the water just so, cleaning my brushes just that little bit better than some noob who is using an old jam jar...I mean look at my painting...seriously is that the work of someone who cleans their brushes in water held in an old jam jar? I ask you...pfffft no it's not, I use an old McDonald's sunday cup, and the results show, but through counseling sessions and a few support groups I have learned to live with it.

I know that I could be a better painter...if only GW would bring out GW Painting Water!! Crafted specifically to remove GW paints lovingly from my GW bristles, combined with the special powers invested in the GW water pot and the palette how can you make a crappy paint job? :yay:

I thought I 'd also let you know..when I open a box of minis, I inhale the air from inside the box..that's pure GW air from the factory in there...inspirational stuff!!

You guys are awfully Critical of GW. They make things like this and it is obvious that they want to make more money. So what? They are a buisness, what do you expect? Get over it.
Really guy's its not a big deal.

Making certain products available for sale is one thing. Pricing them at double or triple (or more) than you can get the same product at a regular craft store or dollar store is ridiculous. No, shaping it like an Imperial shield, or a Boltgun, of Archaon's bum doesn't make it worth more money.

You bought one didn't you?

Plastic cup for me and 6 palettes for 2 bucks from the reject shop..so yes I can view the GW product with cynical eyes.
Yes they are a business and all businesses are there to make money...but that's stooping to make a buck.
For the thought, design, production and marketing you would think GW might come up with what they do best..more minis.

I'm just surprised that nobody has mentioned the brush soap yet...

You all know what GW wants to do when you drop your brush soap.

Obviously sell you another one, because the one you have would have bits of carpet fluff attatched and that would impair the bristle cleaning action.

They should make GW Brush Soap on a rope! Their slogan for it could be

"Not that it'll really help..."

I saw one of these water pots yesterday and was staggered at the price of it - $8. I use a plastic cup that, when it gets too grungy, I throw away and reach for another one. I get 50 of them for $2.

The palette shape is cute but I use a wet palette to keep my paints moist in the dry Australian climate. Again, a ridiculous price for a sheet of plastic.

50 for 2 bucks! 8) ..I'm tempted..but do you get a chocky sundae in any of them first?!
I saw it at 8.25....hence the rant, that's right 8 and one quarter dollars...do you have any idea how much soft serve that would buy?

Hell no! I didn't buy one. I try and cheat the GW system as much as possible. I'm just saying that GW gets a lot of unnecessary Devlan Mud from trying to make a bit more money. Though I do understand why you guys critisize them. But I'm sure if you worked their you would see it from a more, how shall we say, business like way.

About half a cone, if GW was selling it. :P
