Yeah, I agree with Julian, layering would definitley improve the miniature. All in all, a great paintjob though.

I have to say that is the best looking uruk scout I have ever seen. The highlighting is good and the detail is awesome! Especially on the face.

Much improved painting, karavatis. It looks far better now, the leather in particular is great. Did you use a wash to tone down the highlights?

Yes I did. I used first Devlan Mud and to make the skin more red another wash with Baal Red.

Ahh, I see. It turned out very well, I really like the skin, the Baal Red really worked wonders. Have you begun anymore scouts?

Yeah that leather looks gorgeous, nice to see you doing the armour that way too - makes a change from the more common all-metal look

I can see an excellent company in the making here. Keep going at the standard of the first mini and you'll have a proper display piece in your hands.

Well, after another day painting I can say my Scout Uruks-hai are near finished. I must paint the bows and the bases yet, but the principal is done.
