Let's carry on discussion in here rather than on shoutbox ;)

First of all congrats to all who managed to enter into O-R Awards this year. To be honest I expeted a bit more entries but I figure that's only because some of you didn't see it coming. I hope Next year we'll see more works submitted.

Secondly, even more congrats to all, who won/been placed it's nice to see your work appriciated.

Personally I must say that I love that Erestor by LoG and Rohan Stables by MacGothmog. Of course that Smaug by Natarn is just clear masterpiece alongside with Master Craftsman winnig entry by Bart ;)

Let's also take time to thank all admin team (i.e Admins and Ringwraiths) for organising and hosting such event after break. I hope you won't give up on whole idea ;)

Indeed I will for sure be submitting more works next ORA...

I'd also like to congratulate everyone, whatever final rank they received. We had some great entries this ORA, and I certainly took the pleasure in looking at each and every entry :)

Let us not forget to thank everyone for voting, aswell as the admin, whom without the awards wouldn't have taken place!

Congratulations again everyone, for yet another successfull ORA!

Congratulations to all of those who entered the competitions, and, obviously, to those who have won.

I will do the usual 'vote-scrutinisation routine' first then officially announce the winners later.

I must say how impressed I have been with some of the entries this time around:
  • Nathan's magnificent Smaug, that we have watched with fascination as it has grown scale by agonising scale over the past 12 months. Well done and so richly deserved.
  • Mac's amazingly detailed and superbly accurate Edoras Royal Stables came as a complete surprise to us all and is testament to his skill as a modeller.
  • There were several brilliant pieces in the painting category that I had trouble deciding which ones to vote for.
  • But for me, the two entries in Master Craftsman category were standouts - Ebob's wonderful cart and bridge vignette was superb, but Bart's masterpiece of storytelling has to be one of the best dioramas I have ever seen anywhere. There is so much detail in that scene that I could spend hours staring at it and still find something new the next time I look.

I have to say that I wish I had half the talent that you people have.

Congratulations to all of you that won, and everyone else too, of course.

I didn't won the Conversion/Sculpting category, but I didn't expect anythinge else (actually, I expected that I'd came on the last place), with Julian's amazing trebuchet and Nathan's Smaug in the same category , so I am happy with my participation; it was a fun competition, and next year I will win every category...

Perhaps...

Not...

:P

Why does anyone wish to have less talent then you actually have?

Congrats to all winners and all who enterered, and thanks for the nice comments about my diorama :D
Always great to see some awesome entries there!

I must admit I'm very satisfied with the result of my diorama and think it's the best I've ever made myself, again with some new things in I never tried before...
During the years it's these competitions that made me progress to what I can today, always trying to improve myself for competitions like these.
Glad I took part and won some new skills and experience in new techniques again!
