A store I know sells a boardgame called "LORD OF THE RINGS BOARDGAME: THE HOBBIT".
The description is as following:
"Will you trade your jewels for adventure points? Can you successfully answer the riddles or recite the songs? Do you have the courage to steal a jewel right from under smaug's nose? On this adventure you'll travel through the Edge of the Wild, the Misty Mountains, the Carrock, Mirkwood, Long Lake, and finally confront the Desolation of Smaug. Each terrain will yield magical encounters and valuable treasure. All your wits, luck and skill will be tested!"

Have anyone played this and is it worth buying?

Thanks in advance. :)

I have it, a rather childish game, not for over 14 in any case

Depends on your company. A group of thirty-somethings can find it extremely hilarious on a summer cabin trip. :-)

Though playing it only about once per year is more than enough.

Hm, then I will definitely not buy it, 'cause it was pretty expensive.
