Well done James! Could you tell me how you painted the jacket on the one to the right in the last pic?

sorry bout the bits of grass on it everwhere XD

@ Hallpers:

-Dark flesh.

-kommando khaki (leaving brown in recesses), built up in about 4 thin coats.

-lightly drybrushed on komm. khaki and skull white on the cloth.

-wash of watered catachan green. (not too green lol)

-wash of badab black. devlan mud will also work well i reckon, if not better.

Nice work on the sentinel James! 8)
Though it looks a bit "fresh" compared to the normal troopers. Perhaps a bit of weathering is called for?

It is fresh, straight out of the factory. No kill signs yet. :)

Ok. Just thought it looked a little odd next to your troops. :)

Hi guys,

I need a bit of advice. I want all my squads to be that little bit different. So i need ideas on identification marks etc.

The squad you see atm can stay as they are. My second squad will have a white stripe on the helmet as you have seen in white dwarfs etc. I need ideas for the 3rd and 4th squad, perhaps different coloured stripes or shoulder pads, i don't know.

Also, what about the platoon command squads. I have 2 x 5 man squads. each with a sergeant, vox and special weapon. how do i make these ones stand out that little bit more than the standard troopers.

thanks!

Corsair

Well,
if you have any green stuff, you could make some bandages and stuff to go on the arms, legs, heads, etc. but that might be a bit more of a diorama type thing...
I suppose you could free-hand roman numerals on all the squads shoulder pads, like I, II, III, IV etc. in white to show which squad they belong to...
Or even like in white again, like signs for alpha and milatary alphabet signs...

I'm not good at this as you can see, but hopefully enough suggestions to inspire you to do something along those lines...
