Just a quick not to say that the voting was already out and after the success of this years World Expo at Girona (Spain), the next world capital of miniature figures will be Montreux (Switzerland).

Just to spice it up a bit, check Jeremie Bonamant website for some pictures of this years Expo.

Dang, I'll be holidaying in New Zealand that year! Nooooooooo! Although seeing all the LOTR locations in person is much more interesting, I think.

The pics from this years World Expo show some amazing models!

I was stunned to silence when looking at those models. They are jaw-droppingly well painted.

I think I'd walk out in tears if I went to that convention - the quality is lightyears ahead of what I could achieve.

Very skilful painting though it must be said that most of it is in much larger scale than our humble 28mm... and you can see where some of the inspiration for the Death Korps of Krieg comes from too...

Wowzers! Stunning all of them!

I must say Vlad The Impaler impressed me, but the clear winner was Hitler and the SS Officer. The cloth on them was truly spectacular. Beyond any standard I could ever reach!
