Bow Of Finrod: The Bow of finrod is a master piece of woodwork made from the finest yew in middle-earth. it counts as an elf bow with a range of 24" and a strength of 4.

WTF how is this guy have everything better then Legolas? Legolas only has expert shot, and only costs like 90 points. How does this guy cost less and have better stuff?

@ Captain Ingold

That's ok - we all make mistakes!!

HE IS NOT BETTER THAN LEGOLAS - LEGOLAS CAN FIRE THREE TIMES WITH A STRENGTH 3 BOW

ERESDIL CAN FIRE A SINGLE STRENGTH 4 SHOT

IT IS JUST LIKE A CROSSBOW EXCEPT ERESDIL CAN MOVE AND SHOOT IN THE SAME TURN

URUK HAI AREN'T 90 POINTS JUST BECAUSE THEY CARRY A CROSSBOW !

Hmm... so far looks pretty good. I was thinking of something like this except a little different,
Elven Ranger 15pts
F/S......5/2+
S.........4
D.........4
A.........1
W........1
C........5
equipment
Elven rangers have an elf bow, and an elven cloak.
They may purchase:
wood-elf spear....3pts(they get the parry special rule)
throwing daggers...3pts

Special rules: Woodland creature: see rules manual for details
Warriors of the bow: These elves have trained with the bow a lot more than other elves (hence there 2+ shoot value) so they can shoot twice every turn.
OR Warriors of the bow: These elves have trained with the bow a lot more than other elves (hence there 2+ shoot value) so they can move there full 6" and still shoot.

Just a question, are you working this out on the cost calculator?

No I wasn't using it, thanks for the link. Copied from the cost calculator:
elven ranger
F S D A W C M/W/F
5/2 4 4 1 1 5 0/0/0
Elf, no armor, elf bow
Abilities: Elven cloak; Expert Shot
Cost: 14

I think my cost calculation before the cost calculator was pretty good, seeing as that's without the 'Warriors of the bow' rule.

apology accepted!! 8)

you can do what you want with your posts!!

However, i am not going to give anyone expert shot as i feel it is only for the extremely skilled and exclusive.

I could consider true shot - but he is probably not going to be as good as haldir either :?

What's 'true shot'? I looked and Haldir only has the rule 'expert shot'. I think I'll just leave my posts, thanks for excepting my apology.

sorry, i made a mistake - I got confused between deadly shot (legolas), expert shot (haldir) and true shot (elegost, the dunadain on the lotr the 3rd age video game!!!)

i don't think i will add any more rules as he is already an archer capable of killing the toughest of enemies with his bow. As well as the fact that his Finrod Training special rule allows him to move and shoot (similarly to a throwing weapon).

I wonder if someone could convince GW to bring out an elf expansion cos I am dying for more warriors. I mean there are basically three types of high elf warriors: bowmen, spearmen and elven bladesmen(wow that looks funny).
I love the rangers idea(i especially like the full move and shoot ability).

The only problem is that my friends would probably be scared and not let me use them so until GW makes this legal or at leasts posts the profiles on the official website(like elven cavalry), they wont let me play with them.
