Well, I don't particularly like the
Insperational Masters rule, because I think that's a bit too close to power gaming. If it is included, it should rather be a rule for the Masters themselves, with a correspondent increase (10 or so) in points cost.
Also, I think the apprentise should only have 1 wound - but I'm willing to consider arguments for letting him keep 2...
Corsair's suggestion of
Passing Of The Knowledge is interesting, but I don't really think it fits into the LoME system. Now, if we could work out a way to put the mages into Battle Companies, it would fit perfectly.
Over all, I really like this Apprentise. Good work!

I just had a look at the revisions for the Master. Most excellent! A true paragon of the First Age of the Sun!
I understand MoS's arguments for only 1 attack, but I have to disagree: Mages fit more into First & Second Age games, when the elves were
the power in Middle Earth. It's fitting that one who is adept at mastering the world around him would stand better in battle than the average joe. It seems to me that these are the lesser nobles of the Elven Houses, a bit lower in rank than the "ordinary" Elven Lords. (see
Fall of Gondolin & an Elven Lord stat I've worked on over the years - I don't remember if I actually posted in on OR, but I could post it here if people want, I guess...)
Anyway. These Elven Mages seem to me equally "Elven Barons" if you will, so they should be able to handle themselves in a fight.
