Aye too right:

Burns wrote:
Farewell to the mountains, high-cover'd with snow,
Farewell to the straths and green vallies below;
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods,
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.

But mind that awful weather!

Burns wrote:
The wind blew as 'twad blawn its last;
The rattling showers rose on the blast;
The speedy gleams the darkness swallow'd;
Loud, deep, and lang, the thunder bellow'd:
That night, a child might understand,
The deil had business on his hand.

Well personly if i could drive my spare a weekend and head off for few games but if you have to rely on public transport in this scenic countryside then your "buggered". There no train service's in the border's you need to head south or north to edinburgh..and Ayr is a hell of a distance away. But perhaps we may meet or battle it out at games day in the distance future.

I'm ever so slightly closer than Fife, but ever so slightly further away than Ayr...

Just new here in Dundee. Usually played LotR in good old Germany and I'm member on Tabletop-hdr.de (Tankreds Site) for years. So Is there still someone here in Dundee who plays LotR?

Sören

p.s.: Unfortuantly my army didn't managed the flight to UK but I hope they will arrive soon! :twisted:

Couldn't agree more, I used to love the borders for a blast out on the bike; up from Newcastle, meander through some great roads and terrain over to St. Marys Loch, stop for a breather, then back down and home in a big loop via Carlisle, Hexham, and home.

Great ride

You are more than welcome to come along to Kirriemuir Wargames Club. A small group of us play LotR SBG and WotR (as well as loads of other games!)

Kirriemuir is about 25 mins north of Dundee - not sure how reliable public transport is though but we do do have club members who live in Perth and Dundee.

We meet every second Friday night of the month 7pm - 10pm ish (usually goes on later) and the last Sunday of the month 10am - 4pm (we can get some big games played then).

We meet at the Guide Hall, The Roods, Kirriemuir.

We do have a website but I can't put up a proper link as I haven't posted on OR 3 times yet. Do a google for Kirriemuir Wargames Club and you should find us
