My wife went shopping yesterday and picked me up the latest Miniature Wargames magazine - April 2007. This magazine is available in most large WH Smiths etc in the UK. I usually buy this on an adhoc basis (when it has any reasonable Dark Age/Medieval/fantasy material) but this one really sticks out for its Lord of the Rings content - 14/52 pages. There is nothing GW SBG in there, except for a few painted examples of minis in diaromas with minis from other manufacturers, but it does have several articles relating to Lord of the Rings gaming in general. There is an interesting terrain building article for Amun Sul that could be scaled down for use in SBG.

Thought some of you may be interested as the Mithril Miniatures Ringwraiths are bang on scale for SBG and would make for a nice (and cheaper) variation on GW's versions.

You ever read Wargames Illustrated? It had a really good scenario based on Eomer attacking the Uruks at Fangorn. It didn't focus on any system and said to make your own rules, but it was a handy reference thing. I think it was issue 232, but don't hold me to that (The memory's none too good  )
