While at GW yesterday I was able to finish some stuff.

I finally finished basing my Fellbeast. :P

But I also finished Halbarad.

After I finished painting, My friend and I had ourselves a game. It was 1100 points, Grey Company vs Angmar. It was a fun battle! Though I wasn't able to take any pictures. :-X Also, Dave (GW employee) gave us permission to start a Fellowship campaign at the shop! So we're planning on going sometime next week to get it started! :D
But anyways hope you guys like Halbarad as much as I do.

Heh Heh....

I like the fellbeast. How did you get that weathered look on the skin of the wings? It looks really effective.

Codex Gray drybrush, followed by Graveyard Earth and Kommando Khaki, then did a light drybrush of Bleached Bone over the Veins. For the upper part of the wings and along the skeletal parts, I did a Heavy Wash of Badab Black which got the weathered effect.

Heh I don't know, Halbarad could give a Nazgul a good fight. :-D

Well thanks for all the great comments guys!

Almost all of what you see here has been sitting in my room, unpainted, for months (Possibly Years) Due to a sudden urge I got my Butt moving and Painted. I still have a lot more to show but I figured I've posted well over enough pictures. (Most likely too many) Anyways I hope you guys like um.

Busy indeed you have been. Is that Aragorn the one form the "Death of Gothmog" vignette?
Very nice models in that set. I need to get one.
Job well done. 8)

All those terrain pieces and models are so awesome! Especially the Clansmen of Lamedon, they look the best!

Wow 2012 was the last time I posted in here. Been on and off with the hobby over the past 3 years. No big projects until now however.

Image

Out of the blue I'd decided to get myself a Mirkwood elf army. I originally was only going to get the captains for use as D&D characters, but decided to get some normal troops to actually battle with.

So far only two captains have been painted since I needed them for my buddy's elven ranger character in our campaign. Eventually I'll get the rest painted

(Click for better resolution)

Image

Eyes are a bit funky, but they do for now. Under normal light they turn out alright. I must say I love the palace guard. They are very different from the other elven nations but still have a very elven feel to them.

Image

My friend's character as he is in our campaign now. Once he gets some better armor later on I'll switch him out for the palace guard.

And finally I have on more little thing to show (also a bit D&D related)
We needed a new model for my other friend's paladin. I could never find a really good miniature to use for him so we just gave him some random heavy armored Rohirrim.

However, while looking around my spare minis one day, I found a very old Cirion model that I'd primed but never painted. He said he'd always pictured his character looking a bit like Robb Stark from the HBO Game of Thrones and Cirion's outfit had a bit of resemblance to Robb's.

So with a little green stuff and some paint, I turned Cirion into a Stark.

(sorry for the picture quality)

Image

Image

I went for the same look that Robb had in the early episodes of the first season of Game of Thrones. Dull browns and greys and of course the fur cloak.
I did keep the White Tree so he can still be used in a Gondorian (or Arnorian) force though.

I'll have some more stuff up very soon. I'm in the middle of a hobby spree right now so paint and glue is flying. Some men of the White City will be coming up!

Cheers!

I went ahead and cleaned up part of my thread, putting the pictures behind spoilers so its a bit easier on the page.

I was never really happy with how my original version of HotW Aragorn looked, so last week I decided to go back and give him another shot.
I'm pretty happy with the result! (Click on pictures for better resolution)

Here we have Boromir and some soldiers of Minas Tirith who I've been touching up the past few days.

Next up will be the archers, Citadel Guard and Guards of the White Tree.
