A while ago i was in a GW store and i was esembling my wood elf way-watchers for Warhammer Fantasy and was talking to one of the staff members about warhammer experiences and a kid that must've been around 11 came up with a model and sheet of paper and asked the staff member to check out his storyline.

At this point i am confused because LOTR, 40k and Fantasy dont use storylines behind characters that u can customise urself, so i asked what it was it all about and the staff member mentioned 'Inquisitor' and i was like "woah, what theres a game where u can customise storylines for chracters" and he then nodded and explained the whole thing.

So very recently (earlier on) i went warhammer world in nottingham and it was a great experience and whilst in the store part i decided to buy my first inquisitor model (Chaos Magus) and i have just downloaded some rules and i read through a bit of it and it seems like a good game.

Have/do any of u guys play Inquisitor ?? if so what do u think and would u recommend it to other gamers that have not come across it before?
please comment what u think or some good/funny experiences.

I played it a while ago after it had just come out. This was just at the stage I got back into GW stuff (before losing interest before lotr) and played a campaign at school run by a teacher. As it was a large group we each had one model and formed 2 warbands between us, which was good as each character had a different personality, due to the fact that different players played each person. I ead one of the groups, and had a great time. It plays differently to the other games, as the storyline means there are no strict winners or losers, and also it is harder for your character to die, but they can pick up injuries and stuff which adds things.

Overall its an easy enough game to learn, but alot depends on the person who oversees the game, the stroyteller/gamesmaster, as its more a roleplaying game than a war game, but still I advise you to give it a go, not to mention that the models are great.

whilst talkin to a member of staff he asked another staff member what he thought and he did say that its a good game but it depends how experienced the games master is.

It is a great game. The rules and how it works is almost perfect in my book. Also being able to convert characters is great.

It is true that it requires a good GM but you could always just have a 2 person melee without one to get the grasp of how the game is played.

and the reason for me bringing this topic back up is that i've bought Chaos Magus (i think thats his name :S) and would like some feedback on whether he is a good choice, whether / what i can convert onto him and conversion tips .

Im not sure of his rules, i know there on the IQ website for download but i cant look them up now. Ive heard he can be very good depending on how you use him and he can have access to some great equipment.

Inquisitor is a great game, and your choice of a chaos magus is good for starting with. (those with lots of experience go for weaker characters for a more satisfying roleplay aspect) Ive been doing inquisitor for quite a while.
