Thanks, once I realized it wasn't the end of the world if I cut up a figure it has opened a lot of possibility on conversions. Just use a sharp knife (and cut away from yourself).

Stewhr - not a building yet... That was just some hirst arts blocks thrown together for the picture. I am playing around on doing a portion of a Gondorian wall for a scenario and have ordered another mold myself. Will see how it works out.

Finished my Haradrim, poured some plaster of paris.

As usual, threw my Haradrim onto my table where I add as I finish.

As you can see, found some uses for the plastic deer antlers I got from a craft store at Christmas

Received my order of Hirst Arts mold 200, poured some plaster.

Will show more on the mold under terrain.

I'm loving those tusks everywhere. Looks like the Egyptian temple mould is quite versitile.

These are some really inspirational shots and I think your hard work on this terrain is really paying off. I have never owned the Harad books so I don't know how GW has depicted the terrain but I really like how you're portraying it! You have me thinking about making some Harad terrain one of these days! :)

Kuribo - the only harad terrain I had seen from GW is tents. I do not have the Harad Sourcebook and it might have more in it. Thanks for the compliments!

Got tired of painting sliver and black on the Minas Tirith warriors and waiting on paint drying on my gondorian wall so I decided to do a quick and dirty Mordor Troll. Thought I would try some of GW's new contrast paints. I had primed the troll before but went back and used GW Wraithbone White as primer on the skin.

Used Darkoath Flesh contrast paint. The Citadel Colour app suggested Gulliman Flesh for a lighter skin but I had the Darkoath so I went with that.

I had to do some parts twice to cover some spots but it did its job, paint and wash in one bottle.

Troll with his trophies.

As I said, quick and dirty. Darkoath for the majority, steel, nuin oil and corrosion for the metal. Still haven't decided how I want to base it.

Great looking troll. Really like the brown skin.
It obviously should be based surrounded by desd warriors of MT. :)

Looking good, Mapper! If you could pull it off (and it would take some work,) a dead soldier laying on the base against the white Minas Tirith stones would look awesome :)

Stewhr - had enough m.t. body parts left over from conversions (including a head!) so did a quick dead body. Just have to figure out the best way to put him on the base.

Image

Kuribo - I have been basing my Minas Tirith warriors using a coblestone sheet I bought one year at a craft store when they have Christmas Villages up - so something like this?

Image

Tempted to either make another or leave him off the troll base to make it into an objective piece - recover the Captain's body, defend the Captain until helps arrive, etc.

Fantastic. Just what I was thinking. It’ll make the troll roll better too I’m sure. :)

I'm a bit belated here but I agree with Stew (as is often the case!) that this guy looks fantastic. I would recommend adding some stones or rubble to the base to give it some variation in height but other than that, I think you're well on your way to an awesome looking base :)

Same paint scheme as the first, modified with extra armor on the hands (chin pieces from other helmet) and with a WOMT ready to throw.

During the summer I cast plaster of paris for different projects to do during the winter.

This summer one of the projects I completed was making platforms for the dwarven tombs I had made. Nice enough day to sit outside and do simple painting and drybrushing.

Just a few shots. Need to move my Dwarf Kings higher up into the to be painted queue.
