Thank you mate, I did with the old school:
regal blue --> enchanted blue ----> ice blue (+mixed with white final tips).

They look really good. Although, it just all seems too blue. I personally would add more variety to them. But I don't have any of those models, so I can't do that. :-D

Thank you! Layering and glazing with diluted water is the way! Very thin layers in the end!

Thank you, it is a mix of mephisto red and dark flesh. Unexpectingly great result as a crimson colour!

I understand what you mean, you are right but i always try to paint in speed, cause I need em for tabletop too. I wish you the best when you get yours :)

A fearsome model to paint, especially the mounted version due to the bad sculpture. I tried to fast paint a tabletop foot and mounted duo in high standards, pretty satisfied with the result, considering the purpose of it. The highlights seem pretty smooth considering the hell of the warm white.

Nicely done! I'm about to tackle Saruman for the second time for this month's challenge.

Nice Job on both Saruman's, the foot version is one of my favourites.

Saruman is great. I also really enjoyed the dwarves. I'm going to shamelessly copy that scheme for my dwarf king.

A long journey that started on summer came to an end, Rohan's cavalry is finished! Focusing to create an army well all-around looking than individual models, I came up with this photoshooting. Feel free to ask for anything as always.

Open images in new tab to see them as whole.

Generally we use photobucket because with right click>open image in new tab it redirects you in the original upload in the photobucket. Check it, if it does not work, tell me and I will repair it!

I think the many different color mix suits to them as they are having a more free, Viking-like theme. The multicolor basing completes nicely the model, I believe it was in the correct direction. Thank you for your kind words :)

Actually these series of books (I think it is the 2nd generation supplements) gave excellent advice and ideas on such matters. check em all :)

Late thanks to everyone, I don't post too often for no spamming reasons here.

So.. here we are with new painted models.

Ferals were tough but I enjoyed painting em and really really liked the result.

For the nazgul I wanted to paint it exactly like the movie so a dark grey horse with no intense highlights where a difficult one to make it stand out the dark grey cloak.

And here we have a 20-minute extreme fast painted Grima just for battlefield addition to an army. Realistic colors though.
