8) Good work!

The one bowman on the right of the secondlast picture - you forgot one mouldline on the one part of his bow.

The one thing i'm not too sure about are the bows on those last models. Whats up with that?

Since Blackroot Vale archers are equiped with longbows I thought it would be better, if I give them some. And actually not simetric bows was not something ancommon.

Great work! Time to get some more painted Very Happy

Oh well, painting is not my favourite part of work. An since I am gone from home for studies I have no primming spray so .... maybe later

Ha, I knew my topic was somewhere here, even if it got a bit ... dusty. ;)

Anyway, here are some WIP pictures of my latest works, although some of you probably have seen them already finished. ;)

You're talented, Silverhand. What sort of rates do your charge per sculpt?

Thanks for the comments. I can use any criticism too, so feel free to drop any.

Meanwhile, I am leaving some new photos, this time my private works rather than UM commission.

As a gentleman I will not speak publicly about moneys ;) but to be honest, I treat sculpting as a hobby rather than a full-fledged profession (I am finishing my Archicecture Master final project for last ... 1,5 years or so ... ) and I am not very keen on receiving any new commissions.

Scale comparison. I have tried to make them somewhere between human/orc and trolls. They are bit too small compared to the movie ones, but GW trolls and much smaller too, so I had no choise really.

Image

Then. Here is progress photo of my Highway Bandits. I know its a bit yellowish, I cant get the rioght light for them.

Image

Aaand the same problem with another picture. This time I though I will try to make some themed army. More specifically Gondorian forces during "Reclaiming Arnor" campaign. I am truely with love with a mid-third age period of Middleearth history, from the partitioning of Arnor to the birth of Eotheods and Kastamir rebelion, all great stuff :)

I'm interested by the conversion in the ogre scale shot. What figures were they, and what have they been converted into? The first looks like an orc just repositioned, the second a normal two handed dwarf into, a scout or some kind of elite, and the third looks khandish, but I can't tell what figure it's converted from.

Nice work on your other figures too. Those highway bandits look interesting.

Yup, the first one is morannon orc which I converted as a part of Angmar forces. Dwarf supposed to be a Khazad Guard. And that last guy is, yes, a khandish warrior made from plastic corsair.

I have made a full Khandish Battle Company on foot (and two test conversions mounted). I am waiting impatiently for a new version of BC to give them a try in my local club along with new rules.

ooh, that's a great looking bunch of converted warriors. But those mounted guys, they look amazing! The pictures almost look like an oil painting. :yay:

The Khandish do indeed look great, love the one resting on his axe and the paint work on the mounted duo is great.

Thanks for a comment, I am a bit unhappy with a bandits, I aimed for something like dunlending wildmen but they look somehow too civilized.

This time some different stuff. First I have changed a colour of my FIMO to keep photos a bit clearer.

Image

Hes gonna be a Carn Dum Warlord. Our polish LotR/Hobbit league are pushing some new rules and profiles to keep game fresher, so we got Carn Dum men back and I really like them.

And now something really different, as I made myself a little warband of adventurers to play Frostgrave. If you havent try this one I totally recomment it, its a funny and easy game to play at home. And pretty affordable.

Image

Scale comparison with LotR (actually you can use LotR minis in Frostgrave too, I have seen some orcish warbands with shamans as mages)

Image

And some mashup of Frostgave Soldiers hands on Peerys Billman and ... I think it is some unarmoured saxon from Wargames Factory.

Really superb work on the sculpts - how do you find the time with completing a Master's degree?

Some lovely sculpting work on show again, I really like the bandits and would have picked some up if they were available.
