Welcome to the Unofficial December Painting Challenge thread.
This month’s topic is:
Red Clothes
NOTE - An unlimited number of models can be submit for the vote in this challenge. Go wild!1. To enter the painting challenge, the miniature/s you are painting must not be painted before starting and picture proof must be shown of the miniature 'pre-painted' (unprimed, undercoated or if you are repainting and old miniature - in its' original paint scheme) otherwise your entry will not be eligible.
2. You may join the painting challenge in progress at any time, but must submit photographs of the completed miniature by midnight GMT of
December 31st 2015. WIP images are welcomed and encouraged. A maximum of 8 photos of your completed entries please, this allows you to show your miniatures off from front, back and each side which is more than enough. If you would like to compile more than 8 pictures into one file it is ok to do that
Pictures of completed models must be submit using a third party hosting site such as photobucket or imageshack.
Pictures submit by attachment will not be eligible for the vote.3. Miniatures that are completed in time will be eligible to win the challenge. The challenge winner will be decided by the vote of the OR community. Votes should be cast not simply on painting skill, but on merit, including creativity, application of painting techniques, artist improvement, etc. There is no prize available for the winners of this challenge, the challenge is solely for community participation and as an incentive for people to reduce their backlog and improve their painting skills.
4. With the introduction of The League, Winners from the previous month are now eligible to enter and win consecutive challenges without penalty.
Good luck and have fun!
Please note that this challenge has not been approved by site Admins. I created this post for everyone to enjoy painting the same theme and compare the outcome in the end
Having fun is most important! And maybe we can get a voting poll at the end.
Almost all mini's can be painted wearing red clothes. If someone wants to enter Uruk-Hai because of their skin, please write an essay in the comments explaining how Uruks wear their skin as clothing
