Thanks, just primed the head and neck so that's the next to get cracking on. I'm just dropping back into another 2 day commission then back at it.
Hopefully an update soon of what most want to see.

Looking good so far. One of the other members ran out of gold paint while working on that base. :)

Liking the paint scheme on your Uruk-hai, simple but looks great. Smaug looks like a challenging project! I will be following your progress closely.

Uruks were done to table top standard for the client. I do this level to keep the costs down and present a figure that still looks the part on the gaming table.

Thanks, the client is happy so the line is set for the rest of the figure.
I'm not 100% how this will end up but it will have plenty to it.

Oh Wow!! That eye looks very real! It's almost as if you can see your own reflection in it! Excellent work! 8) :yay:

Thanks Wah Wing, that's what I wanted, it helps set the feel for the figure. Once I've finished the mouth I can start the head and giving this a look that pops.

The eye is genuinely spectacular. Glazes are working well. Loads of character already

Thanks, I aim for this to be one of the better versions of Smaug that you will see. Lots of brush work and only airbrush basecoats.

Used Scale 75 paints but colour wise and system was paint eye yellow, add black pupil in a line. Using a red add iris. Now apply thin lines between yellow and red using a dark red.
Glaze over with army painter soft shade. Apply dark shade to frame the eye. Now re apply yellow to top half of eye. Apply a single white reflection dot. Now finish with glaze of gloss.

That is actually quite scary. It's like he's watching me from the screen... very well done!
