I've been following this for the last two years and it was one of the main reasons I decided to get back in to the hobby. Thanks a lot for the inspiration, Celevue, your campaign, scenery and narration just gets better and better.

I noticed that on your W.I.P you said 300 rohirrim and 500 uruks, are you going to use elves like the movie?

Yes, five companies of Haldir's elves will be there. It's just such a tiny amount of models compared to the rest that I seldom even remember to mention them!

I just discovered this thread recently, and have spent the last two days reading through the whole thing.

Oh. My. God.

This is without a doubt the most ambitious, the most amazing, the most exciting gaming project I've ever seen! The custom terrain for each scenario is of unbelievable quality. The lighting and special effects used in many of your reports, not to mention your wonderful narrative, make each battle really come alive. I have nothing but praise for the time, effort and artistry you have put into this campaign.

I’ve subscribed to this thread and your companion WIP thread, and I’ll be waiting eagerly for the next installment of this fabulous effort. :yay:

When frodo puts on the ring, will you just take the mini away for the pictures or will you make ring-world with effects?

We have the clear plastic Invisible Frodo figure that we'll be using when Frodo is wearing the Ring.

Well, I think my feelings about this campaign can best be summed up by a quote from one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite shows:
"OhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygosh!!!"
:-D

I have read through the entire campaign thus far, and boy have I been impressed! This is matchless work, practically art! (Well, that scenery really IS art! :)) This is one heck of an ambitious task, but I am prepared to stick with this thing till the bitter end, because now i am hooked on this amazing story-in-progress! Celevue, I salute you! "[i]Elen sila lumenn omentilmo![i]"

On a personal note, I was kinda hoping to see a little deviation from the actual story thus far (I REALLY wanted to see Glorfindel join the Fellowship!), but, I there is still quite a ways to go yet :)

With that, I must be off! But good show, sir, good show indeed! :yay:

Any idea when the next scenario will be? Can't wait to see Amon Hen [and the Uruk-Hai :)]

We hope to play Amon Hen in late summer / early fall. But I will need to complete a couple of scenery pieces before posting the battle report. Since all my predictions tend to be overtly optimistic, I will only paraphrase Gandalf - expect a batrep when you see a batrep!

Of course we are! Trust me, I'll let you know if we decide to give it all up and throw into trash the almost four thousand figures we've collected (though not yet painted) for the campaign. These things take time - Amon Hen requires some additional figure (re)painting, and I want to do a couple of scenery pieces to aid the narrative (the Argonath, primarily). If this wait seems long, we must warn you the next one will be even longer, as we want to have as much Rohan terrain ready as possible before starting "season 3" of the campaign. That requires Meduseld, Helm's Deep and Isengard - plus Zirak-zigil. And there's still all the Rohan and Isengard figures to paint... You can have it fast, or you can have it epic - but you can't have both.
