I like armies that look like armies and not a posse.
In layman's terms that means it takes you a lot of time to count them up

Hi, long time no me.

I've moved house and am still getting the place organised but my mind is starting to wander back to painting. I was part way through an Easterling army and was growing really bored with gold (it just doesn't go on easily, does it!) and wondered about silver metalwork with a green uniform. I've looked on the web and found an image of an Easterling with gold armour and green clothing.
Has anyone seen a silver and green colour scheme for these guys?

I've not seen silver and green on Easterlings, but I've seen it on Elves several times. The colors work well together. Silver and blue is another good combo. Personally, I'm going with gold and turquoise.

I like the red and gold Easterlings. That palette gives them distinction from the rest of the Barad-dur's subcontractors.
(Dorth imagines a meeting where an Easterling is giving the cost breakdown of invading Gondor. 'Well Mister Eye, it's not that simple... you just cannot get the infantry these days...')

I like them too, but I'm going to try something different that may still be in keeping. I am thinking of bright, silky colours (appropriately Eastern in influence) that will be a contrast with my drab orcs and dark Numenoreans.
