So I finally started my Escape from Goblin Town Scenery. So are the pieces supposed to be modular? I see several different configurations with the scenario book. I am thinking of not gluing the poles to the platforms and simply just paint them. The slots look sturdy enough where I can just slide them on and off without the platforms falling over.

Has anyone else tried this or has everyone glued the poles to the platforms?

For me, they are sturdy enough for to be not glued. And that increases the various options for building the town. :)

I glued the posts to the walkways, but kept each piece separate. The two main platforms slot together fine, and they can all be arranged to fit each scenario this way.

I glued the long poles exclusively to the large platforms, that way I can simply put the platform upside down to raise higher or make more levels to the structure, I also glued 3 coffee stirrer bits to one of the small slopes that way I can attach another slope to make a long walkway
