Why did you think it would be that version of the company?

This is a BoFA release. The minis are from BoFA. If it had been the AUJ company it'd have been a mental choice to make. You might still see that before the end - but at this point I really doubt it.

Well because GW must have made the molds for them, GW are not unknown to release sculpts at different times that don't necessarily fit a relevant release.

They are not just a AUJ sculpt, but also DOS also.

Hard to tell sculpt quality obviously but the poses look pretty good from what I can make out on the screen. Hopefully somebody takes a picture of just the Hobbit releases so we can see them close up. Otherwise we'll see them on Friday I suppose. Must...be...patient... :)

Thanks for sharing the link.

Those look like some pretty nice Dwarfs judging by the tiny pictures. I'm glad I'm only into collecting the Elves now, I don't think my wallet can handle another batch :-D

The dwarves do indeed look stunning. The WD mentions that the dwarves are wearing mithril armour so +2 defence anyone?

Either you have really good eyesight and can read the tiny words on the page in that video or something tells me that you have the new WD too... :)

Think of the costs involved in having all these stores - you've gotta believe that at least some of the silly prices we keep seeing from GW are paying for that, when major high street retailers are closing stores left and right.

Well, they do keep reducing the number of employees at most stores so they will save a lot money on wages. My local store used to have 4-5 refular employees at any one time, but now, even though the store is pretty much the same size it has become a 1 man store.

Every store within a 150 mile radius I've been to has become a one man.

It's how they operate now.

Saves money on nonsense like wages - and also means that when a manager falls ill the shop closes. I had my local closed for a month whilst they found a replacement for the old manager.

I'm not in the US.

And when the manager was on holiday, he had someone come from another store to run it whilst he was away.

Well, just some 29 hours to go until the pre-orders are up. Looking forward to the armours and weaponry - and to what extent they match what we've seen in the trailers...

I am to be honest excited for these models profiles. I wonder if Thranduil will have 3 attacks and to see Tauriel Mirkwood deportee.

Haha and I'm wondering if there are Kirkwood Elves that finally have D6!

I'm kinda viewing this as a way to redo high elves, well at least the soldiers. If they don't have D6 I will be pretty disappointed.

Legolas has a beautiful new set of models with a pretty well-sculpted face, as I suspected, it was just the painting job that was awful.
Thranduil is magnificent. Only the faces do not have a close resemblance to the actor.
Otherwise, it's spectacular.
The bowmen are a bit of disappointment.
The captain is marvelous. It's a model sculpted from another company.
I can't believe how beautiful this miniature is.

thanks for sharing, can't wait for my order to arrive.

What do you mean by saying the captain was sculpted by a different company?

I think that's the painting job, which is not top quality exactly ...
