I have to say your client made a shrewd choice for the theme and you have carried it off to perfection. Aaaahhhh. What can I say. I love immortal blonde ladies. :)

Ok I have to ask. How did you do the water bases? They look insanely cool. The painting is amazing too, I kinda wanna go back and redo my kings champion now. The only thing I would have done differently was painted the details on the banner in nmm, but that's only because I don't like metallics on cloth. Well done with the checker pattern too, that must have taken ages.

Cheers guys.

@PowerOfWill - I'll do a guide sometime for the deep water bases.

Next job was the Hobbits from the Fellowship box set. I forgot just how small these guys are. Had fun making mushrooms again :)

Thanks for looking and C & C most welcome. Next up is something pretty nice. A UKFB conversion which I have had waiting to be painted for far too long.

I'm doing the hobbits next for my fellowship. How did you make those mushrooms? Also I think Sam looks the best of the bunch, I can see determination on his face lol

Mushrooms are fuse wire with green stuff on top. Cheers JamesR. Look forward to your take on the bunch.

It has been so long since I painted hobbits that I forgot all about the back packs and thought you had models I didn't or converted them, had to go look at mine. :) Now I want to repaint them.
You did a great job, they look well into their travels, a bit of mud on the cloaks, but none worse for wear.

What color are you using for the base rims?

Thanks Sithious. The base rims are Vallejo Beasty brown. Pretty much identical to the old GW bestial brown.

Absolutely perfect. I have these models but haven't painted them yet and if they look half as good as that I'll be well happy.
I love your browns and greys. Very realistic.

Thanks Han - awesome thing to say.

Next up is a nice little conversion from UKFB. My favourite version of Azog to date. Great fun to paint up with the blood and gore. Enjoy.

Very cool conversion! It had to be done ;)

Also great paintjob! I like the tone of the skin a lot? Could you tell me approx which colours you used? Thanks ;)

Hobbits are great too! I like those classic models a lot!

Cheers Marc

Hi Marc, thanks for the comment mate.

Azogs skin tone was dead flesh followed by a wash of ogryn flesh. Highlights added by adding white to dead flesh with glaize medium added to keep the paint thin. A wash of extremely watered down brown wash was then applied. Highlights again added with the dead flesh / medium and white mox. Further shading added with watered down scorched brown. Hope this helps you buddy.

Great skin tones and a lovely contrast with the gore on his forearm. :)

Very nice, both the Hobbits and Azog! 8) I think you should really paint more hobbits, IMO your style really fits to those tiny miniatures!
