I can see the difficulty you have had with Legolas. Unfortunately he looks a little flat by comparison to your other work.
I think some cold glazes could have helped for creating some depth and a cold warm transition.
It is still very good but not one of your best. Goes to show even the best of us struggle at times.

Great work- the pale white/yellow of the hair against the prime green hauberk work really well. Lovely smooth work on the face.

Your work is very nice, both elves look warm and lifelike.

My first ent, painted this morning to a tabletop quality.
Image
I primed it black, then sprayed it lightly and from above with brown then very lightly with a few tiny bursts of white and left it to dry overnight.
I built up the colour of the bark with glazes of different grey-browns.
I added some turquoise patches and some sharp highlights before adding moss, foliage and a rust weathering powder to break up the overpowering grey-brown a bit.
After priming and with the help of a hairdryer this took just over an hour. Very expensive though at £25 for what is a pretty poor, under-detailed kit.

Interesting use of pigments. What was the reason for a table top standard and not your gold level ?

Cheers guys.
@Gandalf: I just like to keep my non-heroes simple. All my non-heroes (and non banners) in my LOTR forces have been painted up as quick as possible.

Celeborn, the last of my elven heroes to be painted.

Nice model to paint. Not overly detailed but a very realistic pose and well sculpted cloth
Thanks for looking.

Lovely model! Gorgeous colour transitions on the clothing but still with attention to the details! 8)

Great job, looks like he could come from a graphic novel or animated version of the films (and I mean that in the best way possible).

Celeborn is unbelievable. Makes my painting look like I used finger paints.

Cheers everybody. I got a load of Mordor stuff in the post today so it's back to the bad guys for a bit for me. I do prefer painting rust and rags over silk and chintz haha.

One more thing.....Does anybody else think Celeborn bears a striking resemblance to Andy Serkis?
