Yeah, how about these eye here, better? Just kind of did over them and made them more like Tree Beards.

And I am not sure anyone remember the Torg Hunter Orc on Warg I made. I will show it in a sec. But here I am making the foot version. He is tall, so fits with Gundabad orcs. Not bad for spare parts in the kit. Dead body model, repair legs to stand. Then change head for one of the extra heads in the kit. Make either cloak, or armor, or anything you want to cover up any hack jobs and this is what you get.

Great stuff,

What tools are you using to sculpt? I recommend getting a set of clay shapers, size 0, that's all I tend to use now and they're excellent for blending putty together,

Gandalf, you will be happy to know I made a glaze of Liche Purple and used it to shade the ears and gums on this warg. I also applied to the rock and sand on the base over he brown before highlighting it.

Dezartfox, No, I have not tried clay shapers. I looked them up and they do look cool. I have many sculpting tools but have not used them all nor have I mastered any of the techniques. I will be getting a set of clay shapers for sure to add to the tools and check them out. Thanks.

Here is the warg painted. I also tried something different on the base, experimenting. I took some tea, it is gun powder tea and is hard leaves, but managed to break it up. So after painting the sand and rock, applied some flock. I then took some of the broke up tea and added some dry brush color of skrag brown while it was in my hand, messy but worked. Then applied this sparingly as a scatter both as leaves and twigs. I still have to clean it up and paint the trim. The tree was made with a branch of a cheap tree, flocked, then painted red berry dots on it before gluing to the base. It is not perfect, but a start.

I think you've slapped the paint on very nicely and I note your purple. A thin glaze of a dark blue over this area will help. I use the purple and blue glazing for all dark shading areas, where I want the contrast
Some nice basing ideas here.
As an idea for a tree, look out for roots in the garden etc. I have a bag of them I use for trees. Some take a little trimming and gluing further branches on aren't a problem.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Here is a quick scenery project. this took two sessions and is meant to be easy to make. The dead vines are from Lichen soaked in pva glue and water, then use tweezers to manipulate and spread across the piece.
I will let the photo's explain the piece.

Back so soon?
So I have 36 Gundabads (18 and 18 spear/sword) and two captains. Anyone who knows my Orcs, know that I try not to have two alike if I can help it. So begins the converting of the legion.

Thanks for the support.

I have converted many Uruks into Mordor Uruks. It is definitely a future possibility. At the moment though I have 38 to work on and who knows what will happen with the third film for releases. So I have no need to rush into finding alternate models to use. Being able to field Azog or Bolg (or both) and 36 Gundabads, and captains to use as alternate heroes. I think it is enough for most point matches as other points can easily be filled with Hunters, wargs and such things.

I am hoping at least to be able to show all 38 models with out a single duplicate, so that is challenge #1.

I like your side project of the dwarf terrain piece, especially the use of rope to tie the pieces together. On your Gundabad conversions, excellent jobs. On meeting your no duplicate goal, will you also be cutting the figures at the waist and changing torsos? Those models look like that is possible. If not interchanging them, a simple twist to the upper body also makes a nice subtle difference.
