Hi guys, thought I would make a WIP too.
I am going to start a galadhrim force. But can't decide between 2 color schemes.

What do you guys think looks best, red or purple undercloth?

I love the purple, it is simple yet effective and a colour you don't often see. 8)

Red. Call me conservative, but you rarely see these done in the proper colours, and I include GWs own interpretation.

Definitely red for me, oddly I think the purple would look nice if the blue cloth was red.

Go with whatever rocks your boat (tartan?). The standard of painting is very high!

I like the purple but not with the blue cloaks. Consider purple with green. Green, Gold and purple could work rather nicely.

Red is a nice option. There's nothing wrong with going safe.

I don't like the regular galadhrim theme (I do mine with red cloaks and black and some brown cloth between armour) So I gotta go for the purple though purple with a light/bright green cloak would look phenomenal!

I think you guys are right about the purple and blue not fitting together.
I tried the green cloak on the purple models.
It didn't really work out.

So I will be going with the more or less standard red scheme.
Thanks you all for commenting!

I actually like the purple/blue/gold scheme. Since purple and blue fit together well (colour-theory-wise) you get a ncie contrast from the yellow-ish gold.

But well.. I'm too late I guess :(

I'll give it some more thought, as I can only start painting the rest in a week.
Gives me enough time to make a good decision I hope :D

That purple looks brilliant! Then again, so does the red, but I just think it offers too much contrast, whereas the purple flows very well with the blue.

I really like what you've achieved with purple over there. It's very smooth, but I'd go with the "original" red-brown-ish scheme (which I actually did).

The purple is excellent! I don't get why people are against it, it goes quite well IMO. For me the purple model contrasts very evenly across the whole model and makes me want to look at it.
The red one I have to force myself to look at the bottom half of both models. Don't get me wrong, the red is still good and I myself will go with the films colours before making up my own 100% of the time, but for me the purple and blue has it hands down.

I like the red better, but at the same time, I love red period. The traditional purple color as seen in a lot of art and pictures is nice too. IDK if that helps but thats my opinion haha.

I think both look good. But, I think I prefer the purple a little more, it really fits in nice with the rest of the colours! :)

I chose to go purple.
What do you guys think? Are the colours too dark?

I like the colour scheme, it's a nice option. If you think TwoTowers then the armour was never as bright as was imagined.
