Thanks guys! I'm pretty pleased with him.

I sculpted the wolf pelt from procreate- it's a bit like Greenstuff but less sticky, so I find it a lot easier to work with.

Great conversion, can't wait to see it with a lick of paint.

Your wish is my command, oh master.

Plus, the display board- this I am going to enter in the ToS "warband" category:

Image

Now, you can see that the resin has lifted in the bottom right corner, due I think to my doing this in a cold cellar, so when it cured, perhaps it cured a little unevenly. Anyway, I need to research this a bit better, but you live and learn. Problem is, I can't do it in the flat, because polyester resin fumes are pretty toxic smelling, and I presume that's because they're actually pretty toxic!

Anyway, luckily I had a bottle of acrylic water effects, and after dripping it down the side carefully this:

became this:

I'm hoping that when it dries it'll disappear completely. If anyone knows about this stuff I'd love to hear some advice!

And so I finally have my army finished, and on its display board! Here we are:

This has been a LONG month of modelling. It'll be nice to take a step back, relax and do whatever takes my fancy, rather than pushing to get things finished for a tournament deadline. Phew! Still, I am happy with the results.

What a wonderful piece you have put together. Great painting on the figures a very original scene that has been put together with care and thought.
I'm delighted you got the water issue sorted and I note it almost hasn't cured. If I am right then you can correct this with a hair dryer held about 4" above and on for about 5 mins. You are looking to create a thermic reaction that should cure overnight.

The Shaman has taken pride of place and rightly so, a lovely job all round on him.
The same goes for both of the display boards 8)

These boards look great. And that shaman should be adopted into a full production piece, it's very good

Well Mertaal, the shaman looks great. I don't have any advice for the water effects.
The Isengard army all together looks great.

Excellent work. I bought some goblins to make one myself and your work has given me some inspiration - thank you.
