Your GBOG makes the one on GWs website look amateurish. The detail and skill is awesome. I really love the puddle splash.

Every sensible person knows that a beautifully painted miniature is 27.4% more combat effective on the tabletop.

Uhoh! Great rendition of GtW anyway. Can't wait to see the mounted version!

Keep Ed Ball and his massive casino dice well away from this beauty. Truly stunning, nice work!

Excellent painting.
But I have to ask.
We have seen Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White in all their many guises.

So where is Gandalf the Fool? Come on! Saruman mentioned him in TTT and I want to see the mini!

:)

Hi Bombur - thanks for your comment.

The Bolg was created by a very talented sculptor and One ring member Samoht.
HERE is a link to his work in progress thread.

I really like all of them. Especially as the bases are a bit toned down so as to be more gaming friendly Girion is my personal favorite of these the gold with the deep red and splash of blue just really make the figure pop

Amazing. Loving the quilted effect on Thrain. Hard to believe that's paint actually.
Do you mind giving us a run down of the method you used on the various browns on Bard? They're very realistic looking.

Thanks for the great comments : )

The browns on Bard, lets see if I can remember.

The coat was a base of khemri brown washed with brown wash and highlighted with Khemri brown with increasing amounts of Vallejo Khaki added.
weathering was added with bestial brown and scorched brown.

The shirt was basecoated with Vallejo Khaki and washed with brown wash. Increasing amounts bleached bone added to Khaki for successive highlights.

More great work. Thranduil actually looks cool when both poses are seen together and in the same scheme. The trim on Girion is very well done, steady hands there and some held breath here and there I imagine. Great Work D.

Girion really stands out for me, a great sculpt with an excellent paint job.

Great work - you have made Yoga Thranduil look exactly like 'Normal' Thanduil (in the head and face department, nothing you can do about the wardrobe :) )
Lovely bases as always!

Great painting again Kev, are these the first Hobbit range of figures you have painted?
