Thanks for the compliments, guys. Getting a little validation is always motivating for me!

Working on 5 more of the GT goblins. I usually paint in batches of six for troops, but since I had already painted the one test model, I am just doing five to even things out. I'm a weirdo, I know.

Also, I've got some bat swarms and a warband of the old Wood Elves to show off, but I ran out of the matte varnish I use and so they're a glossy mess right now. Once they're finished, I'll snap some pics.

Here's my Gandalf (EfGT). I did a slight conversion by cutting off the outstretched hand and rotating it at the wrist. Now, the pose is a little less "O Sole Mio" and a little more "Then, Young Skywalker, you will die."

And here are the Bat Swarms I mentioned before. I did two of them.

And here is Haldir. I didn't like the "Look at what I found....It's a sword!" pose, so I simply twisted the arm around to look more like he's taking a swipe at someone.

And here are some of his Wood Elf buddies.

I like the Haldir repose very much. Great painting too.

Reposing some minis seems to produce great results, and adds variety or interest especially if you have a lot of identical minis (troops).
Nice work. I assume the reposes have been pinned for reinforcement?

Thanks, guys! Yes, always pin models if you can. I didn't need to pin the Haldir model though, because I just used a bit of foam between some pliers and very gently bent the arm into the pose I wanted.

Those are my red & yellow batches. The next two will have orange and dark green cloaks. I'm shooting for a fall theme.

Very distinctive painting style that I've not really seen before, very nice.

Unfortunately, the lower half got mangled during the "operation." However, I do have a Gandalf the White barrel-rider candidate now! Haha.

Oh, please do this... :D

Impressive colour scheme on the wood elves, its certainly a unique style that I've not come across before. I especially like the one on the far right in the first picture. Fantastic work! And on a side note, I love your commentary on awkward model poses
