So in a campaign with my dwarves starting at 200 every time we play point limit increases by 100 winner gets an additional 50. Old standard SBG rules with new source books. Im gonna bite the bullet and start off by bringing Balin with durins ax 3 KG and the rest warriors with shield. Sound about standard? Or should I take out Balin and put in a regular captain.

o Kings champ will be the next hero i save up points for .... after alot of other things though sadly. My army will be low number most of the time though because i want to bring alot of KG and 3 teams of VW eventually. Uruks will be a common enemy also harad and easterlings.

For low points there is no hero more your friend as a Dwarf than Balin, son of Fudin with Durin's axe.
Khazad are great but consider mixing in plenty of regular dwarves to bulk your numbers a little

Ha ha. I think I saw your wife's post. She was asking for help to make an force out of your old Uruk-hai army? The conditions of the campaign sound the same.
