thanks alot guys, and its really a basic paintscheme
basecoat with steel legion drab
give it a wash with devlan mud
re-highlight the bits with steel legion drab

Yup the Goblin scheme is much much better and certainly does the miniatures more justice.

finally after a long time a new update on my work, been on vacation to New Zealand

now back home and got back into hobbying so hope u enjoy this update

You know, I'm still not sure about those capes on the rivendell knights. I might have to redo them realistically when I get mine I think. Other than that, they are wonderful minis.

Hey fellow hobby-ists
finally a new update in regards to the hobby stuff. havent gotten round to much painting. anyway here is a little update

made a few rivendell knights with bows

and a few with elven blades

new updates comming soon..2 or 3 days

i plan to have 5 with spears and banner, 6 with blades, a captain with a blade and lastly 6 with elven bows. now just waiting for the glue to dry

theyre in 70mm scale, nice change from the 28mm scale that is the hobby....thinking of adding a bow string to legolas and aragorn...if i can find anything for it

I might look at one of these to do as a long term painting project i.e. spend forever to paint it as well as I can. They seem worth it.

Thank you DMS. i tried to go for a darker paintscheme, to make m stand out a bit. the archers once sculpted to completion. will have a leather armor
