Aye, the sharp detail of those wargs really compliments your painting style :yay:

I painted the skin this week. I'm really happy with the result.
Instead of layer a basecoat, a wash and edge highlight, I used the layering method. I already tried this method but I finished then with an edge highlight. This time I used more layers (more mixes). I want to go further in this direction.

Thanks

I finished the three other wargs. Again I used the layering technique. After some comments I tried to get a more smooth transition between the base color and highlights. I'm happy with the result and I personally see an improvement. So thanks for the comments which are going to make me a better painter. So don't hesitate to give me more comments and/or tips.

These look fantastic Werner!!! The layering technique really shows well on the wargs head. The transition is smooth and seamless. Excellent painting!!

One little tip if i may - when painting teeth start with a brown and then layer on a yellow colour such as vomit brown followed by a bleached bone layer. It will give the teeth a dirty worn look. Nothing wrong with the way you have painted them there just personal preference. Well done mate.

Great work, I am the same now, stopped using washes and gone for layering and wet blending (which i am still trying to master)
On this page, the first Warg rider on the left of the first photo, what colour did you use on the skin, i am guessing the old Rotten Flesh?

Those wargs look fierce! I understand why gw go for that style but I've never been much of a fan of the 'eavy metal style edge highlighting. The layered approach looks much more natural and realistic imo and it certainly shows in your minis. The bases are fantastic too.

Whats your opinion of the warg models? There seems to be spaces where there is no fur.
