It's is cool seeing you do this project Matt! If you do it equally good as a Gandalf and the eagle I'm sure you will be able to get in to GW daily again, and congratz to that btw \o/

Haha thanks Cruci! Maybe it'll give GW a kick in the rear to start producing these models and stop me having to make them myself :P

I can't wait for your Easter bunnies. Are these going to be hand made from scratch or ave you found something near that will need a little tinkering ?

Definitely from scratch, Gandlaf! I've started work on the first one (face and body), just waiting for it to dry before I add limbs and ears!

Here's the finished bunny sled:

Next up: Liquid Greenstuff!

Yes Matt, it's looking great. Nice touch with Sebastian and his angle of stance fits the bill just great for an aggressive sleigh ride.
What's your plans on an over all diorama ?
I'm thinking of him being pursued by one maybe two wargs at the most. A large rock he has just slid by etc etc I hope you get the way I'm thinking.

I know just what you mean, Gandalf! Whilst brainstorming the conversion I thought it'd be quite cool to have him being chased by some fell warg riders across a rocky plain with maybe Gandalf, Thorin and Bilbo hiding behind a rock. However, I don't have any Fell Warg Riders, nor spare Thorin's Comp models!

I think I'm just gonna stick him on a 90mm base and have him speeding through Mirkwood, maybe with some bats flying after him to symbolise the escape from Dol Guldur? It would be pretty neat to be able to use him as a gaming piece, too...

You should pictures of this to GW daily, I am sure they will show it :)
I hope they don't steal your sculpt though.

Anyways I love what you are doing, I am watching this thread closely.

Thanks Imrail! I've had the good fortune and privilege of already being shown on GW daily, maybe I'll send in pics again when I finish this :)

Here's the first Rhosgobel Rabbit, a week before Easter!

Thanks so much, Gandalf! I'm enjoying this, too :)

I basically copied one of the rabbits in this brilliant piece of concept art which, as you can see, I based my Sleigh on, too!

Hi Matt,

nice work! Although, I'm not very fond of the connections of the different pieces of the sled-here the green stuff work is a little rough and clumsy! Maybe you could cover up these parts with some leaves? Or you could try to blend everything in with liquid green stuff...

The bunny is great though! The hind legs are very well sculpted :D

Hey gunslinger, thanks for the feedback! The connections are like that on purpose to make the whole sled look like it's made from two old, gnarled branches. I know what you mean though, it looks very rough, but I covered all the 'branches' with liquid green stuff to make the sled look more realistic! Forgot to update with pics though, silly me!

Thanks again, I'm glad you like the rabbit :P

Bunny looks great, but I would suggest blending the ears into where they meet the head.

I meant to comment on this ages ago...

Looking fantastic Mr Matt :yay: Your never-ending imagination is making this thread so awesome!

The Rhosgobel rabbit is looking great... very good looking proportions :yay:
One thing I might suggest improving on would probably be the ears... IMO they look a bit round... Perhaps with the other rabbits you could press dips into their ears to make them more boat shaped?

Great stuff though :yay: 8)
