All these completed warbands have me stressed out as I have had the flue the entire week and not done any painting! I finished the last Uruk just now and just got to wait for the sand to dry on the bases then I'll be done with them tomorrow hopefully.

Fin your warband looks incredible, they look perfect as warriors of numenor imo! You really did a great job there making them fit in perfect with the LOTR universe.

Rumtap I promised you praise. Your uruks look great man, and I'm jealous of your weather, all green and warm.... Here in Sweden the second winter has arrived /o\

Okay, so I forgot to retake my starting phot, but I think the models are all in the original (Ringwraith, 2 Easterling Captains, Dragon Knight, War Priest and Troll). However, I'm seeing the mountain of talent I'm up against and trying to climb :P

That being said, I started work last night and (other than the fact I can't find ANY bases right now for ANY of them...) finished one model and near enough finished another and damn near completed the other 4 :P

I haven't been on here in a while due to life (new job etc.) but I saw this and couldn't pass it up considering I had something just waiting to paint (from last Warbands PC). So this is what I'll be painting over the next couple of days.

Sorry for the phone image.

We had beautiful weather here in Canberra this weekend and I could not resist showing it off. :)

@rumtap I only wish we had that weather :(

Anyhow here is my finished entry. 8 Uruk Hai scouts, the one with the hand in his face is the captain. I gave him a furry soulderpad and I hope that is conversion enough to make him a captain o/

I think this will be a fun challenge to enter so here is my Grimhammer Dwarven Warband. Hope you like them. I have chosen the dour look from the movie but with a red colour scheme.

Crucifer - excellent work and a strong contender. Uruks are fairly land but you've made these bad boys stand out.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to drop out of the competition this month. I've been gone for a week, and just won't have time to finish 8 models. Plus I got Bolg for my bday and can't wait to paint it, so yeah. Good luck to the rest of you though!

I'm probably going to have to drop out as I've just got a sculpting tool from gw so spent yesterday trying it out and today doing homework

But school finishes on Thursday

Might have some time then if I'm not playing the game all the time with my neighbours

To sum up, unlikely that I'll finish, but I could still

I always like dwarves Dreadknight, good job. And I'm a fan of the scouts Crucifer, and yes the captain conversion is good enough in my book. Maybe our uruks should team up to conquer middle earth for the white hand!

Some good work popping up on this thread. It always amazes me how people can manage to paint multiple figs at once. I used to have all on painting one ... lol

Here are some WIP photos of the Goblins and Groblog. I will be entering 10 not 12 warriors, due to my limited photography skills. I still have some corrections to make to Groblog's cloak, and source lighting effect (adding varnish was a really bad idea), plus some minor corrections on, and the bases of the prowlers.

These are not my submission photos, just some WIP ones.

All the entries are looking very good, here is a progress report, still have to finish 2 more Dwarfs, so these are not my final pictures.

The best way to paint multiple models is to batch paint - do the same job on each model (same colour, before moving to the next colour. Same highlights before moving onto your washes or whatever order you do it).

Didn't get any done today due to battley goodness - I have a MAJOR problem though. I seem to have no frickin' base for my troll! I need one before the competition end! ARGH!
