Well, the colours tend to look really patchy on a white undercoat. Of course this can be avoided but its quite obvious with your minis.

Black undercoating has other issues, maybe grey is the best idea for you so far. Will be really interesting to see if it works better for you, looking forward to it.

I just went through the entire thread. Took me 2.5 hours I think :D
Anyways, your painting has really improved, but I don't always like your colour schemes. Most of the time I find the colours to be too bright for the model and sometimes the combinations don't make sense in my opinion. I read you're colourblind so maybe that's the problem, but hey, as long as they look good to you! Your technique really improved and that's the most important thing I guess. Your sculpts are getting better as well! I'm not really into sculpting (yet), but I like seeing your progress.

You mean the colour thing? Yeah, it's getting a lot better, that's true for sure!
Keep up the good work :)

Haven't visited in a while, but I see you are still pumping out amazing work - and this is especially so since you can't see the colours as we do. I really like the Rohirrim. You have a unique style and very artistic. I agree about painting over white primer. I prefer it much more to black. I only use black now for minis I want to be really dark like uruks and orcs. Colours are truer over white and it's easier to get highlights imo. Models tend to be brighter though and this sometimes doesn't look great in photos - but I find I really have to make the minis super dark in real life to get photos that most people on this forum like - and I'd prefer to have them look better in real life.

Keep up the great work. I for one really love your unique painting style!

Ty guys. I try to keep myself in the hobby. Can't concentrate as long as i used to on the small stuff. Did a bit more sculpting this morning and finished up the painting of the horse yesterday (to much mess in the backdrop so picture failed a bit - will take another one with the rider on it later).
It's neck seems a bit heavy... maybe i ll chop some stuff off afterwards.

Now i need to go back to drawing.. :-)
As for the ones who are interested my new album got out some time ago. Available in dutch only so far tough..

Leg isn't shaped like it should be...

Noticed that the iron sticking out of it's butt, stands to low now. So i should cut that off later b4 adding the tail.

The horse sculpt looks pretty good but I think it needs a bit more bum.

The Latest rider of Rohan is looking excellent! especially nice highlighting 8)
The freehand on the WoR's cloak looks amazing from what I can see... any chance of a closer crop?

Well, it's a difficult spot to do freehand on...
And I bet it'll look fine on the battlefield from a distance :)
