River Zora got my vote this month, a fantastic entry. Really tough to choose this month.

I went for Monotone Matt! Splendid painting and very considerable sculpting/converting involved!

Thanks, Gunslinger :) I'm just glad it turned out ok, could've been a rather expensive mistake if it didn't...

I voted for Grungehog's Dragon because he went for the OSL on the base and pulled it off. Respect.

It was tough to decide, lots of good entrees to choose from. Everyone did good, I particularly liked Monotone_Matt's, and Damian's. I had to give my vote to DMS though. The paint job is amazing as always, and the base is one of the coolest I have seen.
Good job everyone!

Brilliant work by everyone. Pity we can only vote for 1 entry. DMS pulled off his usual brilliance, but there was stiff competition from almost everyone else. I particularly liked Kara's trolls (me wants those sculpts) and MMS's life-like mountain troll. And also Grungehogs dragon (great OSL and fire effects) and River Zoras fellbeast (especially the skin on the wings - brilliant effect), and Damians ent (great base too), and etc etc etc.

But there can only be 1 winner and Monotone Matt got my vote for a great paint job on Gwaihir, great conversion idea with Gandalf and excellent basing. All round brilliant entry.

As I look again, it is a dead heat (ha-ha-ha pun intentional) - a testament to the painting powers on O-R.

Well done to everyone for actually finishing a model! I only got as far as taking a photograph of a pile of bits, and that didn't get posted.

Wow, tough choice! I really liked 4 models, and now I feel bad I couldn't give them all my vote, because some of them have half the votes they deserve ... Oh well, really great entries!

Very good entries, voted for Gwahir as I really love the painting and the base - the gandalf is very original but the sculpt has some weaknesses - it didn't matter in the end.

Well its a tough one this time, and I hope Kev doesn't mind but I didn't count his in the selection, the Balrog is in another league (again awesome job on him).
So for me it was down to the two Fellbeasts and Treebeard and in the end there was just something that called to me with River Zora's so that's where my vote went but good job to everyone as they were all cracking entries.

On this occasion, I went for Matt. I think the painting did the conversion massive massive justice and it is a unique model that I think all of us would want in our collections.

Interesting to see DMS in the lead and it truly is a beautiful model with phenomenal painting technique. The base is amazing! But I do look at and think that the conversion kit isn't "that" astounding and the painting scheme, whilst beautifully executed, is effectively normal balrog with blues and ices instead of the fiery traditional version.

Whilst it still wowed me, I think what might have wowed me more would have been an attempt on an almost albino style of ice balrog, which would certainly look nothing less than epic, painted by DMS. (I'm closing my eyes to imagine it now!)

So I look at the eagle and even the tree-beard and think, those look a great deal harder to get to that standard and certainly take my vote this time around!
