Sorry. Could resist. Chose not to.

Seriously, I can't wait to see it in its whole glory. As someone removed from much of the underground GW scene, where do 'unreleased' things come from? Were they just side projects someone at GW worked on or was something like this conversion kit developed for release but just never made it for one reason or another?

I love the base on the troll. If you can, try to get some pics from other angles. It has a lot of quality to show off.

My progress on Treebeard. Though I must learn how to take better pictures. Merry and Pippin are still unpainted and I need to make a couple of small corrections and finish his base.

I'm very pleased with the base colour of the Hobbits' cloaks.

it's looking really good. though i'm not a fan of his red eyes. they make him look very evil.. i would go for a warm brown or orange tone maybe :)

Hi, at last I have painted a little more.
The Trolls are from Mirco Art Studios, and are a little bigger than the GW trolls.
These are them now:

I hope to finish in time...

Which parts came in the conversion kit? Just the ice spikes on the back and the ice axe? It looks awesome by the way.

I've always wondered if there were any non-fire balrogs. I know that the 3 we know about were shadow and flame, but Morgoth also really liked ice, so a shadow and ice balrog wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Holy [word deleted], that absolutely is one of the most beautiful models I've ever seen(both the painting and sculpt), DMS!
