Thanks chaps.

Samoht the banner starts off plain and thin, with just a few curls in it. Once cured you can add folds to either side with more putty. The trick to realistic cloth is knowing where there would be a compression fold and where there would be an extension fold.

Just thought I'd add my Haldir to this thread. One of the few minis I have actually painted.

Got another update later with a scratch sculpted mini. Should be fun!

Thanks guys 8)

I now present my entry into the Goblin Challenge compy. It isn't by any means perfect as I rushed it out in one week, which is very quick by my usual standard.

From page 24 of The Hobbit:
Gandalf - "Your grandfather Thror was killed, you remember, in the mines of Moria by Azog the Goblin."
"Curse his name, yes," said Thorin.

I liked the big pale Orc that the movie portrayed, so using a few fuzzy screenshots that I found on youtube for reference I sculpted Azog the Defiler:

Wow. You stun again. This is seriously cool. I don't like the whole deeply cracked skin thing myself, but that's the movies fault, not yours. :)

Your Shagrat conversion is fantastic! Now I'm sorry I traded mine away.
That goblin is 20mm? That's exceptional work.

A bit flat do you mean? Or are you referring to the scars?

You are right. I'll add a bit of curvature. Cheers. 8)

Nice! You've inspired me to sculpt my own Azog the defiler now. How high did you sculpt him to stand?

Mine is 45mm because I wanted him bigger than Bolg, although thats probably a bit excessive in hindsight.

Well after an observation by Sid I have bulked out the chest a little. I think it looks better now. Cheers Sid. Sometimes an extra pair of eyes is very helpful. 8)

Looks great Dave. What you call a week's knock-off, I couldn't achieve in my wildest (and yes, they are quite wild) dreams.

Isn't 4,5 cm a bit on the large side though?
