 Post subject: hobbit-goblin town update 08/01/13

Well i started to build goblin town. I need some help to get the feel a bit more!! so any ideas would be welcome.
i have used string and bits of balsa wood, cocktail sticks with cotton to make torches.

Indeed, seems pretty well so far! I'm intrigued to see how to torches gonna show.

It would be nice to make the city in different altitudes and also make some sections larger so as to be able to hold many miniatures atop of them. I would suggest you to take a look about how Moria is made and gather ideas from there.

Good job so far, different levels is the key I think, with maybe rickety ladders (using matchsticks) joining them, also maybe you could aquire a king's platform sprue from ebay and work in the box set scenery too for the lower levels, loving this project though.

Wow that looks really good!! :yay:
Cant wait to see it done and painted. A little tip if u havent done it yet would be to wet the cotton on the torches in pva glue and twist them in upward direction ( or which ever shape u want). It makes the cotton hard and makes it stay in shape which prevents the cotton from breaking and also makes it much easier to paint!

Really awesome terrain - keep us posted! 8)
