The purpose of this poll is to determine which of the above good characters will be the painting challenge for the month of October. The poll will run until 22:58PM on September 30th GMT, leaving everyone with a short amount of time to go out and get the materials they might need to participate next month. Voting is only going on for 5 days due to my lateness in posting this thread.

There aren't many options this month and as some of our older members will notice, Gandalf is the first option to make a second appearance should he be chosen. It has happened, the majority of prominent good characters have already been painted! If you have any nominations for the next Good characters challenge (January 2013), feel free to post them here.

Please note - the winning choice is not what you must paint next month, only what is preferred, you are still more than welcome to paint something else similar if you haven't got the correct miniature (for example, if Gandalf is chosen and you don't have a Gandalf miniature in time, you're permitted to paint up something similar for the challenge instead - Saruman for example).

They're usually pretty lenient on "counts as" models, since the real objective is to get the members painting and sharing their results.

I just stripped an Eowyn, I have an Escape from Orthanc Gandalf sitting around (which would lead to the rest of the Fellowship  ) but the only Faramir I have unpainted is a headless Heroes of the West version. I guess I could slap a metal Knight's head on it and be good to go.

Anyway, I'll vote Eowyn but I have minis for any of the options...

Voting Faramir as I don't want Gandalf to win at the moment, could change though. Would Radagast or Saruman be suitable alternatives to Gandalf if he won?

They would both be suitable alternatives.
