Fiefdoms at 600 pts help.

Ok. I'm planning on using a Fiefdoms force at a tournament in November if the guy I'm supposed to buy 8 each M@A, Clansmen and Axmen from ever gets back
to me. I'm planning on using Imrahil with 5-6 mounted knights as the hitting force.

Here's the army list that I've got at this point.

Imrahil mounted w Lance: 155
Forlong on foot: 60

5 Mounted Swan Knights w lance: 85
8 Swan Knights on foot: 72
8 Axemen of Lossnarch: 72
8 Men of Arms of DA: 72
9 Rangers of Gondor w Spears: 81

Opinions? Probably needs some help.

Mounted knights are cool but they're really not very good. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with a shield wall here. Are the rangers supporting the knights or the axemen? Anyway, I would swap the mounted knights to make you shield wall a bit bigger or possibly if you're feeling bold, swap forlong for Saruman. Also, Imrahil costs 150 on horse with lance.

Also, what scenarios are you playing?

I agree with spuds, but this list is illegal since you only have 2 heroes leading two warbands and the rest are left out, wich is illegal by GW rules
so you will need 1 more hero wich i suggest should be Duinhir or Anbor. Otherwise it looks good.

One further point, if you wish to take RoG w/ spears, you will have to ally them in under a Minas Tirith Hero. Eg. Faramir, Beregond, Damrod etc.

wow. talk about a necropost. That was for a tournament BEFORE the Warbands rules came out. This list was for a 2011 list.

Imrahil Mounted Lance
4 KoDA Lance
8 Blackroot Vale Archers

Forlong Mounted
6 KoDA
6 Pikes

Beregond
8 WoMT with Spears
4 Rangers with Spears

39 units, best cavalry, 7 might, Pikes with banner, bow limit, two strong heroes, F4 shield wall. Option: trade Forlong's horse for Shields for Gondor.

The thread was revived after a 14-month period. When he originally wrote the list (in July 2011) warbands didn't exist.

Anyway, your list seems pretty good although it would involve some fairly significant conversions. Mounting Forlong would be difficult, and carving shields off of WoMT would be rough as well.

I'd also like to just moan about the Blackroot Vale Archers; they're god-awful! Worse stats, no spear option and a marginal special rule and they cost the same as a Ranger? They should be 6 points.

This list is not for updating, the list that I'm currently in tweak mode on is the Paired themed list thread. If we could have the mods lock this thread that would be nice,.
