This seems to become a popular challenge. Great!

My warband will be Faramir's "Charge of the Heavy Brigade" into Osgiliath.

Image

Here we have Faramir, both mounted and on foot (good to paint both versions at the same time), a mounted banner and 4-6 knights depending on how many horses I can find. If these are all I have, there will be just six models, if I manage to find two more, then all of the regular knights get their horses too.

Thanks!

I've done the first layer on the first squad of 4, photo's will follow when I've got some good light.

Cool colour scheme, Shieldmaiden!

I made some progress on my warband today. Started painting the horses of the knights:

Image

And finished the banner bearer (not his horse, it's in the same state as the knights' horses):

Image

I'll leave Faramir last, as a kind of prize for the day I've done all the boring work on regular warriors.

Got a Proof Picture for my entry:

Image

Been meaning to paint these guys for ages. Just need to glue them to their bases and fill in the gaps before I can start. They're going to be led by a Dragon Knight (well I'll have to designate one as Chieftan in games). Thinking I'll give him a bit of a different scheme to what you normally see as he's more of a Ronin type guy in this theme. Not sure whether I'll give him metallic armour or go for a more Samurai padded style to fit in with the Khandish guys?
Also, I couldn't believe how much easier he was to assemble than the metal horsemen who were a killer in comparison.

Thanks. They are the same general idea, yes

And very nice painting, as well as a good and imaginative coloursheme, Shieldmaiden.

Don't think I'm able to finish this one in time, but I'm gonna try!

Minas Tirith banner, hornblower, warriors and some royalty named Aragorn.
