Hello all! :-D
I tried to come up with a symbol for the freehand on the horse cloth thing by looking through the Free Peoples book but the only symbol I saw that would either fit the Mirkwood theme or that small space was Thranduil's spearhead with the leaf and gem. I tried to mimic that but my freehand skills are very poor quality. I couldn't even do the same design on the opposite side of the sheet! :-X

So enough of my rambling, here is Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood. :D

Though I'm probably a bit late at this stage, I'd have added a few legs and some more heads to the horses (or even taken a few mini horses, glued them together and painted them blue), so that it looks somewhat more "alive". Otherwise very nice, and a very good idea on the base.

Thanks, I didn't have horses, and didn't want to spend lots of money on the base of the model, so I tried to make it out of foam, the best I could ;)

Great work by everyone so far. Here's the Golden King. Not my best work, but it's another mini off the backlog list!

Well here's my entry, 90% complete. Unfortunately I won't have time to finish this as I'm away today and tomorrow. More pics on my WIP page

I'm done with Theoden. If you ask, why I didn't make the base: I painted this figure to my friend.
I used speedpaint technique, I used Army painter strong-tone.

Great work so far everyone. I have my WK's horse finished..............just need to get him done tonight.

@bastion. I love Army Painter Strong Tone. It's great for LoTR minis, I use it on all of mine except stuff that's almost entirely black, like wraiths (or Haldir for April's painting challenge).

@warhammergamingnl. Awesome ambition and execution there. I wouldn't have even considered attempting that.

Gothmog don't tell lies, your entry isn't bad, it's awesome, oh, and I've seen many worse miniatures in my life.

Here's my Witch King. This is my first ever attempt at Object Source Lighting. I recommend experimenting on something a bit bigger first. :-D
My camera-fu is still not amazing, but at least I had a milk jug lightbox this time.

anyway..........The Witch King of Angmar
