Wow. Remember pictures aren't as good looking as the real thing (well in my case anway). I'd prefer the origonal colour scheme as tradition although its good to be different. :yay:

Anyway thanks all of you for posting a comment and complements althought I could use some criticism :) . And sth new today. Oh, actually thats not true cause I painted him few weeks ago - Mumak Chief. He is not with such a contrast highlights like minis posted in this topic before, I tried to keep him more real lookin :-D And the base sucks(photos too) cause I didn;t have any idea for it - I painted this little fellow just for practise.

Good work on the haradrim, he looks good. I didn't post critisism on the other guy as I was short on time, and I didn't see anything bad. On a second look I would say that something to work on is the metallics. They look fine for table top quality, but if you wanna get it to that next level they need a bit more work....Check out Tidoco's metals, I'm always astounded at how good they look.
Hope that helps. :)

Thats's easy - I started from regal blue, which I shaded with badab black, and went for enchanted blue whick I kept highlightin till skull white. But ya gotta be really carefully while doing it cause it has to be really smooth :)

Thanks.
That's why mine highlights aren't that smooth, I only use one highlight.
How many highlights did you (about) use? And I assume you leave something visable from the previous highlight?

Hmm from enchanted blue till skull white at least 4 or 5 - I should do more, or at least smooth it even more with some glazes but was to lazy :)

Hmm I did paint only Groblog, so I have really small experiance. First of all cast quality wasn't very good - I was lucky and get a miniature with only one bubble, but Groblog's coat was kinda crude which wasn't the best one to paint. But still as a whole model, it's not much difference while paintin between metal ones and fine(fail :?: )cast.

Quite good painting, I am quite jealous of the freehand jewels, they are particularly well done.

Here is WiP of my Gil Galad for this month paintin competition. There is still plenty of work to do on these little fellow, but I absolutly hate his guts. One of the worst mini ever to paint, and even dunno why, cause scuplt is accually quite desent, but still hate him. Anyway...

He's coming on nicely. I think your dislike must be something to do with the sculpt, I also hated this miniature and just about everybody I speak to who has painted him hated it also

Okey it's been sime time since I posted here anythink so here we go. I did have some time in a past a few weeks and here i post the results(you can see finished GG in the paintin competition).
First is work in progress Witch Hunter aka Puss in Boots from Warhammer. It's the first mini from that game for me(excludin Gobo and Dwarf from White Dwarf planty years ago) and I really like it. Plenty of details, lovely sculpt, awesome mini to paint in my opinion. There is still plenty of work but here you are:

Another two mini are relics of the DeA times. I find them on some dusty corner, decided to paint them for sell(anyone wanna buy :?: :) ). Theoden is a great sculpt - I'd even say that he is the one of the best scuplts I've ever painted. I did have plenty of fun while workin on him, tested few new technics, hope you like it :-D

And the past one is Boromir CoWT. Also nice scuplt, accept for the sword - that one pice of junk is terrible. Tried twice, failed twice so it looks as it looks. The FH on shield is a result of bein bored with silvers :P

Wow, superb painting! , I really like the Theoden. I gotta adapt a bit to that haircolour on Boromir but some great painting as well!
